MTF members spent a day at Aston Hall which has just undergone a £10M redevelopment and refit by the Birmingham Museums & Art Gallery. The hall was built between 1618-35 by Sir Thomas Holte and shows its Jacobean architecture with fine C17th and C18th interiors. The house displays some of the Museums’ furniture collection, a number of fine tapestries, metalwork, ceramics and paintings.
Also on view aresome of the results of the long-term project between BMAG and the Asian Women’s Textile Group who are based both at Aston Hall and Soho House museums.
