I produce richly textured, hand woven fabrics using traditional weaves and unusual colour combinations. Working with plain weave and over twisted yarns to give areas of pile or very textured yarns in areas of inlay over the plain weave, I produce natural fabrics that are decorative and functional.

Just before graduating from Bradford College with an HNC in Hand Woven Textile Design I won two awards from The Bradford Textile Society. One was for a ladies suiting fabric in wool and cotton and the other was for a hand dyed silk, raffia and viscose fabric for decorative screens. Our tutor hadn't told us we would be up against degree and MA students from some of the most prestigious universities in the country or ie wouldn't have entered anything!
