Freelance embroiderer, inspired particularly by the textural possibilities using computerised sewing machines, and with Or Nue hand stitching techniques.

Associate Member of Royal Birmingham Society of Artists, member of the Embroiderers' Guild, Lichfield and Sutton Coldfield Societies of Artists and Midlands Textile Forum. Member of 'Design for Stitch Advanced Workshops' with Jean Draper, consultant. Exhibited in the Midlands and nationally.

Recent design sources have come from the landscape – in particular the colours in the sky at night, reflections of light on the surface of water and rhythmic patterns in the sand at low-tide.

The exploitation of textural effects achieved on the machine and interaction of colours are paramount in this work. Hand stitched Or Nue pieces are worked to designs which provide miniature images of the larger pieces.
