I’ve always had a creative project on the go—whether it’s knitting, patchwork, mosaic making, or stained glass. In recent years, my focus has shifted more deeply toward textile and mixed media art.

For the past two years, I’ve immersed myself in the theme of ageing as part of a City & Guilds Diploma in Patchwork and Quilting. What began as an exploration of natural changes in colour, form, and texture evolved into a more abstract investigation of life events and memory. I’m particularly drawn to the challenge of expressing intangible concepts visually.

My work incorporates a wide range of materials, including cork, felt, metal, and found objects. Now that I’ve completed the course, I’m excited to pursue a more adventurous approach to textiles, expanding on the themes and techniques I’ve only begun to explore. I’m especially interested in developing more three-dimensional pieces and continuing a series of masks I began during the course.
